1892 $1 MS65 PCGS. Sharp and lustrous examples are in the minority among 1892 Mint State silver dollars. The mintage was low (barely exceeding 1 million pieces) and few pieces were released into circulation at time of production. By the time many bags were released in the 1950s and 1960s, the 1892 was an established rarity in the series few coins qualified for Gem or finer grades. The obverse of this lustrous and well-struck example displays attractive ivory-silver patina with amber-gold and blue accents at the margins. The reverse is more extensively toned in attractive reddish-gold and blue shades. PCGS reports just five numerically finer coins.
