1921-S $1 MS66 PCGS. Dappled multicolor toning on the obverse counterbalances a brilliant reverse on this conditionally scarce Premium Gem Morgan dollar. Forest-green, steel-blue, and russet-brown shades predominate while satiny luster flows across both sides. Only occasional tiny marks are visible with the aid of a loupe. The strike is sharp for a 1921-S (which is almost never fully struck), one reason that accounts, in part, for the amazing fact that no coins are certified numerically finer at PCGS despite more than 14,000 1921-S submissions. Population: 97 in 66 (6 in 66+), 0 finer (1/17).
