1976 $1 Type One MS66 PCGS. 30th Anniversary Green Label Holder. This satiny Premium Gem is avoids many of the surface marks that plague the issue. The coin is untoned save for a thin band of subtle gold toning at the rims. Originally struck with thick border lettering to create the Type One variety, it was soon replaced by the Type Two reverse design with thinner letters on the reverse legend to better match the obverse type style. Population: 32 in 66 (1 in 66+), 0 finer (1/17).
