Three Dollar Gold Pieces
1855 $3 MS62 PCGS. Second-year three dollar gold coins derive from a production of 50,555 pieces. Aside from the 1874 and 1878, they are among the most collectible examples to locate in Uncirculated condition, though they are rarely seen at all in grades higher than MS63. This lightly abraded MS62 features a lemon-gold obverse and a decidedly semiprooflike reverse. The devices are well-impressed.
