1908 $5 MS64+ PCGS. The year 1908 was a transitional one in the half eagle series, with the Mint striking 421,874 Liberty Head fives and later 577,845 examples of Pratt's sunken-relief Indian Head design. This outstanding near-Gem is absolutely radiant with delicate glints of rose over warm, yellow-gold surfaces. Nearly fully struck and scarcely found finer.
