Caracalla AR Tetradrachm of Edessa, Mesopotamia. Struck AD 215-217. AYT•K•M•A•ANTΩNEINOC C, laureate and cuirassed bust right / ΔHMAP•X•EΞ•YΠATOCTOΔ, eagle standing facing, head right, with wreath in beak and wings spread; small shrine between legs. Prieur 845 (same obv. die as illustration). 13.51g, 27mm, 11h.

Near Extremely Fine. Some corrosion to obv. Well centred, lightly toned.

This coin was struck from the single obverse die in this series which shows a retrograde N in the legend.
