D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over right shoulder and shield decorated with horseman / VOT XXX MVLT XXXX, Constantinopolis enthroned left, holding globus cruciger and sceptre, resting foot on prow; round shield behind throne, star in right field, TESOB in exergue.
