German States Bavaria Agricultural Medal 5 Dukat
Ludwig II, 1864-1886. Merit medal to 5 ducats o.J. (J. Ries, Munich) of the agricultural association. Plow-Carriage on Plaice, on the edge of it the signature J. RIES, the whole in a line circle, in the circle below a rosette. Rs: dedication in the fruit wreath, no signature at the bottom. Hauser - (see Plate XXX, No. 327 and 328, ref. 325), Witt. -. 17.48 g. 29mm. Extremely rare. Vs. Small scratches, otherwise almost punch gloss.
These medals were distributed by the agricultural association on the occasion of the Oktoberfest. ; Ludwig II., 1864-1886. Verdienstmedaille zu 5 Dukaten o.J. (J. Ries, München) des landwirtschaftlichen Vereins. Pflugwagen auf Scholle an deren Rand die Signatur J. RIES, das Ganze in einem Linienkreis, im Schriftkreis unten eine Rosette. Rs: Widmung im Früchtekranz, unten keine Signatur. Hauser - (Vs. vgl. Tafel XXX, Nr. 327 und 328, Rs. vgl. 325), Witt. -. 17,48g. 29mm. Äußerst selten. Vs. kleine Kratzer, sonst fast Stempelglanz.
