Constantinople mint, struck c. 1020-1030 or later. +ЄMMA-NOVHΛ, facing bust of Christ, nimbate, X's with pellets in the angles in nimbus' limbs; wearing pallium and colobium, and holding book of Gospels; IC - XC / +IhSЧS / XTISTЧS / bASILЄЧ / bASILЄ , legend in four lines, geometric ornaments at top and bottom. SBCV 1818. Good F for type, attractive desert patina creating strong contrast .
