Caria, Myndos. 2nd-1st centuries B.C. AR drachm (17 mm, 3.26 g, 11 h). Ipigonos, magistrate. Laureate head of Serapis right / [M]-YNΔIωN, Isis headdress resting on thunderbolt; in right field, magistrate's name I-ΠIΓONOΣ; below, star. Zabel & Meadows -; cf. SNG Keckman 236-40 (magistrate); cf. Karl 266-9 (same). Small hairline flan crack. Extremely fine.

Zabel and Meadows do not record the magistrate Ipigonos in their die-study of Myndian coinage (The Myndos 1996 Hoard [CH 9, 522]).
