Lucania, Herakleia. Ca. 420/15-390 B.C. AR nomos (20 mm, 7.61 g, 11 h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested helmet decorated with hippocamp / [|-HPAKΛEIΩN], Herakles standing facing and leaning right, strangling the Nemean lion; behind him, grain ear above club and bow. Van Keuren 5 = McClean 818 (same dies); HN Italy 1371. Toned, old scratches in left field of reverse. Good fine.
