SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head of Septimius Severus right / INDVLGENTIA AVG-G around, IN CARTH in exergue, Dea Caelestis, head right, riding on back of lion leaping right over a spring gushing from rocks, holding thunderbolt and scepter. RIC 266; BMC 335; RSC 222. Excellent portrait and good reverse type. Underlying luster. Extremely fine.
