IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right / VENVS V-ICTRIX, Venus standing facing, head left, holding plumed helmet and transverse scepter; at her side behind, shield. RIC 131; RSC 347. Well struck with Gordian's portrait in high relief. Underlying luster. Small lamination flaw below bust. Superb extremely fine.
