An early work on lead seals and tesserae by the important Italian connoisseur, antiquarian, author, and owner of the Cista Ficoroni. Bookplate of the prior owner – W(illiam) E(dward) Hope Vere (1824-1872) of Craigie Hall – as well as library tag of Craigie Hall on inside of front cover. Dekesel F72. Very Fine condition overall, drying has caused front to no longer lie flat, Rare.
