Carnelian cowroid amulet depicting a fish. Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 1070-664 BC. Cowroid with face engraved with fish carrying a double lotus blossom in its mouth; all within a single line border. Pierced for suspension. Dimensions: 12x8mm. A small but very nice example. Intact.

"S. M." stands for Sayed Molattam, a well-known 20th century antiquities dealer based in Luxor. Devires purchased many of his pieces from Molattam.
