2 MEDALLETS. William and Mary. 1689-1694. A pair of medallets, one silver, one copper. Silver: 2.99 gm. 21.5 mm. Copper: 4.91 gm. 22 mm. Bust of William III right; GVLIELMVS • III DEI GRA around / Bust of Mary right; MARIA II - DEI GRA. Medallic Illustrations I. 691: 81 (lists both metals) BHM Cf. Peck 636. Both are Extremely Fine though the copper example shows a flan flaw at the top of the busts extending to the edge. Both pieces have portraits very similar to (if not identical to) 29 mm pieces listed in Peck (BMC) as "uncertain pieces."
