Edge cracks, otherwise boldly struck and an intriguing type with a nicely modeled hound.By the evidence of coinage, some modern canine breeds have parallels many centuries ago in early classical Greece. The hound on this coin, with its muscled body and triangular snout, closely resembles the bull terrier, although the modern breed was supposedly created in the 18th-19th centuries.
