Newfoundland. Victoria Specimen Cent 1885 SP66 Brown PCGS, London mint, KM1. The only certified Specimen example of the date by PCGS, with outstanding chestnut tone and stunning golden luster to the left of the Queen's portrait that transforms into a rich teal blue at her right. The reverse reveals the same desirable shades as its counterpart, but in a delicate aquarelle style. As one would except at this level of technical quality, the surfaces are essentially unblemished by any noteworthy post-strike marks, and the illustrations still retain their as-struck appearance. A bold offering in all regards and a visual masterpiece to boot. From the Schroeder Collection of Canadian Coins
