Newfoundland. Victoria gold 2 Dollars 1880 MS61 PCGS, London mint, KM5. Fully sublime and engaging, this superb selection displays deeply patinated surfaces in a desirable shade of saffron, and illustrations that have benefitted from a bold striking. Closer inspection confirms superior detailing throughout the Queen's hair along with a reverse that is absent any weakness. A surprising amount of luster easily brightens the fields, and other than minor flecks in the surrounding expanses, the only noteworthy post-strike imperfections appear to be a faint line down the Queen's cheek and some mild chatter to the left of her nose.
