Colombia
Cundinamarca. Republic 8 Reales 1820-JF AU53 NGC, Bogota mint, KM-C6. An extremely pleasing example of this early Republican issue, bearing light circulation over the surfaces, but showcasing a near-incredible strike for the type, with stunning boldness in the peripheral legends and detail in the central Indian and pomegranate motifs on both sides that is rarely rivaled. Produced on an impressively sound flan as well, with only a couple edge irregularities that steer clear of the design. All considered, among of the most charming we've seen (despite selling several that have had higher technical grades), and as such, a coin that bound to attract strong attention for type set inclusion.
