Louis XV gold 2 Louis d'or 1756/49-BB MS61 NGC, Strasbourg mint, KM519.4. An unlisted overdate in the SCWC and the only certified example at NGC as such, with a mostly honeyed planchet highlighted by moments of amber at the peripheries. Minor adjustment marks are noted through the King's portrait, as well as the reverse edge, but detail over the unaffected areas remains sharp. Scarce and intriguing all at once.
