Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Carl Eduard gold Proof 10 Mark 1905-A PR65 Cameo PCGS, Berlin mint, KM-Y154, Jaeger-273. Mintage: 489. One-year type. A premium example, minted in outstanding quality and preserved ever-so-carefully since, with visually blemish-free mirrors in the fields and extremely stark cameo-producing frost over the central design and peripheral lettering; certainly among the finest extant. The lone 10 mark coin minted from the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha line and only struck during 1905, the combination of the two factors generating constant demand for the issue.
