Republic Gourde 1895 MS64 NGC, Paris mint, KM46. Conditionally elite, and unsurpassed in grade at NGC, boasting a blanket of intermingled blue, purple and gold tone over both sides and underlying surfaces that are obviously reflective and help to amplify the tone's intensity when swirled beneath a light. As one would expect, few marks are observed. The other NGC-graded MS64, sold by us in our April 2016 Chicago sale was rather similar in overall appearance, and brought an impressive $6,462.50.
