Republic copper-nickel Proof Pattern 5 Reales 1870 PR64 PCGS, Paris mint, KM-Pn12. A captivating example of this broad pattern issue, possessing fully reflective fields on both sides and subtle frost over the raised portions of the design. Very scarce as a type, this is among the finest to survive, with a only single example graded PR64 at PCGS with none higher and the finest graded example at NGC having been assigned the MS64 grade.
