Tuscany. Charles Louis 10 Lire 1807 MS63 NGC, KM-C49.2. A beautiful and somewhat conservatively graded example of the type, showing steel-gray surfaces that are evenly dappled with graphite tone and exceptional designs that sit high atop the low-lying fields. The conjoined busts of Charles Louis and Maria Louis are impeccably bold, and most importantly, without the usual adjustment marks seen through their portraits. Altogether Choice, and aside from a scattered tick or two, the lustrous fields retain a pleasing clearness.
