Venice. Ludovico Manin 1/2 Ducato of 62 Soldi ND (1789)-GF MS66 NGC, Venice mint, Giacomo Foscarini as mintmaster, KM744, Paolucci-29. Scarcely seen in general, the quality of the present offering is truly rare. Light doubling appears to be the only limiting factor as the surfaces are essentially pristine, lustrous and enlivened by gorgeous iridescent tone. The reverse portrait of St. Justina is particularly well-executed and marvelously preserved.
