Meiji Yen Year 28 (1895) MS67 NGC, Osaka mint, Y-A25.3. Virtually tone-free, this incredible example presents as-struck designs that completely engage the eye and sumptuous argent surfaces that are drenched in a satin finish. The reverse fields which are commonly plagued with contact marks have almost completely escaped that fate, while full-bodied luster effortlessly cascades the devices, producing a warm and desirable glow.
