Charles III Pillar 8 Reales 1762 Mo-MF MS62 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM105. A key date within this popular pillar series, the present offering immediately impresses the viewer with its evenly toned gunmetal surfaces and touches of mauve color that rest against the designs. Closer inspection confirms exciting detail throughout the aesthetically pleasing motifs, while the surrounding fields gleam with residual luster. Evidence of faint handling across both sides does little to impede the eye, as no individual mark requires mention; and that, coupled with the fact that this is the only Mint State example certified by either NGC or PCGS, is sure to spark much interest from the collectors of this scarce colonial type.
