Augustin I Iturbide gold 8 Escudos 1823 Mo-JM AU58 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM314, Onza-1779. The finest example that we've ever offered of this final Iturbide date, graded just at the cusp of the Mint State tier, with the faintest wisp of friction over Iturbide's hair curls that, if not inspected closely, goes unnoticed entirely. The legends are perfectly formed with only minor central weakness on Iturbide's cheek and the corresponding crowned eagle. Even so, the boldest strike we've seen on the type, and as such, the attribute likely to be cherished above all else by the specialist.
