Republic gold "Cortes & Cuauhtemoc" Medallic 50 Pesos 1963 UNC Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC, Grove-P-77. Dual headed, with Spanish explorer Hernan Cortes in sculpted relief on one side and Cuauhtemoc (the last ruler of the Aztec Empire before it's capital, Tenochtitlan, was captured by the Spanish in 1521) on the other. Interestingly designed, with several evident wipes on the as-made polished outer ring of the design.
