Miguel I gold 7500 Reis (Peça) 1828 MS62 NGC, Lisbon mint, KM388, Gomes-15.01. One-year type. An elusive date, easily differentiated from later issues of Miguel (1830-31) by the reverse motif which illustrates the palm leaves curving outward instead of in. The present coin, about as fine as they come, displays stunning brightness in the mirrored fields, and the strike shows fully executed on a flawless flan. As the grade suggests, no highpoint friction appears. Conditionally rare as one of only two examples at this top grade at NGC and certainly befitting an advanced collection of world gold type coinage as such.
Estimate: 4000-7000 USD
