Catherine II (the Great) gold 10 Roubles 1762-CПБ AU55 PCGS, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-4 (R1), Petrov 40 rub., Ilyin 25 rub. Obv. Crowned and draped bust right. Rev. Rev. Cross of four crowned shields with date in the angles. Well struck, with orange golden patina, over underlying luster, and tiny flan flaws. Quite rare in this exceptional condition. Catherine II ruled Russia longer than any other female. She was crowned in 1762 and ruled until her death in 1796. Russia grew and prospered during her reign, which is often called the "Golden Age of Russia."
