Alexander I silver Specimen "Peace and Friendship with France" Medal 1801 SP66 PCGS, by P.J. Tiolier, 28mm, listed by PCGS as Diakov-268.1, but that is incorrect. It has the reverse of Diakov-268.1, but the obverse is similar, with no snake ring around the rays and a slightly different design of the central area. Julius-990. Obv. Gallic Cock, with rays behind, stands on an hourglass, within a wreath. A very scarce, and popular, medal. Well struck, with reflective fields. No significant flaws are noted, with attractive gray and golden patina. By far, the finest example of this medal we have seen.
