This issue is a pattern for the 1830-39 series. Even chocolate-brown patina, with boldly defined features and no significant flaws. A classic rarity, with no regular issue 3 Kopecks coined for this date and only a tiny number of patterns struck. This is the finest example certified, of only three total pieces, by NGC and PCGS combined.
