Philip III gold Cob 2 Escudos 1614 S-V MS62 NGC, Seville mint, KM48.3, Cay-4995. 6.7g. Beautifully struck in the centers with particularly sharp arms, the peripheries typically leave a little to be desired, although in this instance the last two digits of the date were struck up. Faint reddish tone has settled into the recesses but does little to mute the underlying luster.
