Philip V gold 8 Escudos 1718 S-M MS61 NGC, Seville mint, KM260, Cay-9965, Onza-511. A very appealing selection of this variety with quatrefoils between the letters of REX and the mint assayer arrangement of 8-M/S-8 on the reverse. Some striking weakness is noted, particularly around the date, but many design features are boldly struck up, enhancing the attraction of the lustrous surfaces.
