John II Comnenus "the Good" (1118-1143). AV hyperpyron (4.37 gm). NGC Choice XF 3/5 - 3/5, wavy flan. Constantinople. Christ, nimbate, enthroned facing, holding gospels / John (on left) and the Virgin Mary standing facing; he holds flobus cruciger in left hand and gestures with his right, she reaches up with her right hand to crown him. Sear 1940. Broad flan, matte surfaces, obverse a tad double struck.
