João VI Countermarked 960 Reis 1818-R VF - Cleaned, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM326.1. An interesting issue, first overstruck on a Spanish Colonial Peruvian 1797 8 reales of Charles IV and later marked with an unidentified circular "eagle" punch, presumably of German origin. Ideal for the numismatic mystery-solver.Note: This piece was deemed an ineligible type by NGC due to the unattributed countermark.
Estimate: 200-400 USD
