British India. Victoria Prooflike Restrike 1/2 Anna 1878-(C) PL64 Red NGC, Calcutta mint, KM487, S&W-6.463a. Carefully lacquered at the mint and as a result, vibrant red color remains over the surfaces. A soft cameo-producing frost on the raised surfaces, and attractive gleam in the fields makes this example more attractive than many of the restrike issues seen.
