CHINA--PROVINCIAL BANKS. Bank of Taiwan. 5 Yen, ND (1899). P-1908s. Specimen. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
(S/M#70-2) Specimen. Vertical Format. Promises to pay the bearer on demand 5 Yen in Silver. This design is the first of the type we have offered, is extremely rare. As of now, this is the only known example in specimen, issued, or proof form, that has been graded by PMG. The vibrant design features the two Onagadori cockerels and also two dragons facing each other at center. The note is printed in exquisite detail on bright paper with a light orange face. The note is fully original save for some minor blemishes on the reverse, which under very close inspection may be seen from the front, but is not noticeable at a glance. Good embossing noticed, along with bright red stamps and overprints indicating the not is of Specimen form. This is a phenomenal piece for any collector. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.

Estimate: $40000.00- $50000.00
