CHINA. Pattern Dollar, ND (1910). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder.
L&M-24; K-219; Hsu-52; WS-0036; Wenchao-98 (rarity two stars). A beautiful example of this RARE short lived proposed design, featuring a highly stylized dollar symbol in the denomination. Brilliant lustrous white surfaces with full claims to the assigned gem grade. The razor sharp strike and immaculate fields, totally free of significant marks or abrasions, combine to produce a stunning and breathtaking numismatic treasure. The art nouveau influence in the dragon is unmistakable, with the overall design undeniably reflecting European influence. A coin missing from all but the most advanced collections, the pristine state of preservation seen here will launch the collection it enters to a new level of sophistication and prestige. Tied with nine examples at this numeric grade, with only two examples certified finer at either NGC or PCGS. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder.

Estimate: $30000.00- $40000.00
