Fr-78; cf.KM-544. Commemorative for Centenary of Chairman Mao's birth. VERY RARE, from a minuscule mintage of only 100 pieces. This year produced several low mintage yet large size gold pieces and is one of the key years for collectors of modern Chinese coins. Well minted with flashy mirror like fields and frosty devices. A difficult coin to obtain which does not does not appear often. With case of issue and certificate of authenticity serial #53. A few tiny copper spots on obverse, otherwise free from haze or fog.
