Very fine, dark green patina and very rare. Provenance - Ex Dr Adrian Carr Collection and purchased from Walter Holt in 2008. In 37-36 B.C., Antony awarded Galatia, and the title of king, to Amyntas, who continued to rule until his death in 25 B.C. Artemis is portrayed here with the features of Cleopatra VII of Egypt, apparently as a sign of deference to Antony and the Egyptian queen.
