Phoenicia, Tyre, (c.2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver shekel or tetradrachm, (13.57 g), Tyre mint, issued year 30 = 97-96 B.C., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, above LL, monogram to right, Phoenecian bet between legs, around TUROU IERAS KAI ASULOU, (S.5918, BMC 116-7 , DCA 919). Weakly struck on obverse with slightly pitted surface, otherwise very fine and scarce.
