Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (221-204 B.C.), AE 32, hemidrachm, (36.06 g), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, cornucopiae to left, around BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, between legs LI, dotted border, (cf.S.7843, Sv.1128, SNG Milan 213-3, SNG Cop. 219, Pitchfork 51, Koln 52 [attributes issue to Ptolemy II between 253-249 B.C.). Very fine and rare. Provenance - Ex Gregory Conlin Collection, Triton XI (lot 1735) and Noble Numismatics stock item No.3352.
