PHILIPPVS behind equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within A Q V A MAR, flower below horse, (S.382, Cr.425/1, Syd.919a, RSC Marcia 29). Slightly off centred, otherwise very fine and scarce. Provenance - Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 99 (lot 3490), before from Raoul Phillips Collection and CNG Sale 63, May 21, 2003 (lot 1174) and previously from Stephen M. Huston, USA, Sale 160 (lot 34) with both tickets and Terry Naughton Collection.
