Arab-Byzantine, Umayyad Caliphate, (c.685-692), AE fals, 18mm, (4.21 g), Hims (Emesa) mint. obv. crowned facing imperial bust, holding globus cruciger, K/AL/O/N (= "good") to left, bi-hims to right rev. large m, star between annulets above, E/M/I-C/H/C across each side, in exergue 'tayyib' (= "good"), (SICA 1, 544 var. [star after bi-hims], Album 3524, Wilkes 133 [$125 US]). Very fine with an earthen black patina. Provenance - Ex Tom Cederlind stock.
