Indian Cents
1899 1C MS66+ Red PCGS. CAC. A sizeable number of 1899 Indian Head cents survive in the upper reaches of Mint State with original Red coloration, but that total is still small relative to the 53.6 million coins struck that year. Blazing frost swirls over this impeccable Premium Gem. The motifs are boldly impressed, and alloy spots are limited to a few obverse flecks. A spectacular clash mark from the O in ONE appears in the field adjacent to Liberty's nose and eye. There are 26 higher grading events at PCGS (2/17).
