Buffalo Nickels
1937-D 5C Three-Legged, FS-901, AU58 PCGS. All diagnostics for this famous mint error are readily apparent. The back leg is granular, and a trail of minute die lumps is present on the field below the bison's flank. Most important of all, the bison's leftmost leg is absent above the hoof. This coruscating near-Mint example displays mottled golden-brown and steel-blue toning on the Indian.
