1875-CC 25C AU58 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. The date is even, and the second C in the mintmark is clear of the R. Probably no more than 30 or 40 examples of the 1875-CC quarter (140,000 coins struck) survive in mint condition, placing heightened demand on high-end AU representatives like the brilliant and semiprooflike AU58 coin offered in this lot. Minor strike incompleteness is apparent on the right-hand stars and Liberty's head, and clashing occurs near the pole. Minimally marked. Population: 5 in 58, 25 finer (2/17).
